Can I start free and upgrade later?
Yes — Scout is free forever and includes your eligibility check and county requirements. Upgrade to Steward when you’re ready to generate your plan and start logging practices. Your data carries over.
Is there a per-acre charge?
No. We price per property (Steward) or per portfolio (Ranch), not per acre. A 15-acre tract and a 500-acre ranch pay the same.
What if my application is denied?
If you build your plan with us, file on time, and your district still denies the wildlife application for a reason our product should have caught, we refund your year in full — and help you respond. Denials are rare when the plan matches your ecoregion’s standards and the paperwork is complete.
Do you replace my biologist or accountant?
No — and we don’t pretend to. We’re software plus educational content, not legal or tax advice. Ranch includes an annual biologist review of your plan, and plenty of members still hire local pros for habitat projects. We make sure the paperwork and proof never depend on anyone’s memory.
Can I cancel?
Anytime. Your records remain exportable for 90 days after cancellation, and the 30-day guarantee applies to first-time purchases of any paid plan.
